Searles Castle at Windham was built over a period of 10 years, between 1905 and 1915, by interior designer Edward F. Searles. Containing more than 20 rooms, Searles opted for only the best workers to build it from fine woods and marbles. After Searles' death in 1927, the castle passed through the hands of several owners until becoming a home for nuns. Today the castle is available to host events and tours. Address: 21 Searles Road Windham NH USA 03087
